Productivity
"Teach your leaders that their main priority
is to
energize and grow their team around themselves." |

The majority of the modern industrialized world is obsessed with
the measurement of productivity, and for good reason. Improving
productivity is a never-ending effort as literally billions of dollars
are invested in technology. The paradox is that to a large degree,
we are constrained by the level of employee productivity, or more
simply, limited by human performance.
Despite our best efforts, we may not be fully leveraging the potential
and investment in human capital in the workplace. Someone once said,
"What gets measured, gets done." If this is true, then
measuring the relationship between human performance, Emotional
Intelligence and productivity would be a compelling proposition.
Furthermore, implementing ways to improve productivity by leveraging
the power of Emotional Intelligence is an even stronger proposition.
Employees often behave like volunteers. One of the primary challenges
involved in increasing and sustaining human productivity involves
changing behaviors that are driven by feelings and emotions. Developing
high levels of emotional intelligence - particularly among leadership
- will enhance individual, team and organizational productivity.
In the new millennium, successful organizations will leverage both
human and capital resources in the pursuit of world-class productivity.
